All our coffee is single-origin, sourced from small-grower co-operatives in Sakleshpur, Karnataka — a hill district in the Western Ghats at roughly 1,055 metres elevation. We work directly with Geergal Estate and its surrounding farms, which grow under dense natural shade canopy. You can trace exactly where your cup came from.

We roast in two styles: our Signature Blend is 80% Arabica and 20% Chicory — a balanced, chocolatey everyday cup with low acidity, ideal for espresso and milk-based drinks. Our Single Origin Arabica (available ground or whole bean) is 100% Arabica, natural-processed, with tasting notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and caramel. Best with a French Press or Pour Over.

We roast in small batches and ship within 48–72 hours of roasting. Coffee is at its best between 4 and 21 days off roast — so what reaches you is in its prime drinking window. We recommend storing it in the sealed bag, away from light and heat, and using it within 4–6 weeks of the roast date on the bag.

Our farms use natural, low-input farming practices — no synthetic pesticides, no chemical fertilisers — but are not formally certified organic (certification is expensive and disproportionately burdens small growers). We visit the farms and know the growing conditions directly. We believe transparency is a stronger guarantee than a label.

Yes — we ship to all serviceable pin codes across India via our logistics partners. Shipping timelines vary by location: metro cities typically receive orders in 2–4 days; Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in 4–7 days. We'll share a tracking link as soon as your order is dispatched.

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your pin code and order weight. We keep it as low as possible and absorb part of the cost. Orders above a certain threshold qualify for free shipping — the exact amount is shown at checkout.

Please write to us as soon as possible at shop@ane.life. Orders are processed quickly (often the same day), so we can't guarantee changes, but we'll do our best. Once dispatched, the order cannot be modified — but see our returns policy below.

Because coffee is a perishable food product, we cannot accept returns once opened. If your order arrives damaged, or if there's a quality issue, write to us within 48 hours of delivery at shop@ane.life with a photo. We'll sort it out — either a replacement or a full refund, at your choice.

Friends of Ane is our six-month inner circle — not quite a subscription, more of a standing invitation. You receive two packs of freshly roasted coffee every month (12 packs total), chosen by you via a simple WhatsApp message at the start of each month. Alongside the coffee, you receive exclusive access to the Ane Print Club — a monthly physical edition (letterpress print, photograph, or illustration) sent only to Friends.

At the start of each month, we send you a WhatsApp message with that month's available coffees. You reply with your choice — or say nothing and we'll send your usual. No apps, no logins, no friction. It's like texting a coffee shop you know well.

Yes. You're a Friend, not a subscriber on a leash. If you need to pause or cancel the remaining months, just send us a WhatsApp or email. We'll stop future shipments with no hard feelings. The months you've received are yours to keep.

The Print Club is a monthly physical edition sent exclusively to Friends of Ane. Each one is different — a hand-signed letterpress print, an original photograph from the Western Ghats, a letter, or an illustration. They're made to keep, not consume. Not for sale anywhere. The only way to receive one is by being a Friend.

No. The Print Club is exclusively for Friends of Ane and will never be sold separately. Each edition is limited, numbered, and tied to membership. This is intentional — it's a thank-you for being part of the inner circle, not a product.

Āne (ಆನೆ) means elephant in Kannada — the language spoken across Karnataka, where our coffee grows. Elephants move through the same forests as the coffee estates of Sakleshpur. They're a reminder that good coffee comes from an ecosystem, not just a farm.
